The minute I spotted this store from across the road I thought it looked like a store I could spend all day browsing. I didn't realize just how true that would be though. I walked in and sighed with happiness.
These lamps have got to be my favourite item in the entire store and are made locally. Weirdly enough I was looking at our living room on Friday and drawing sketches of these large round lampshades as something to look out for, now to save up the dosh! The shades retail at $110 and the shade plus base are just over $200.
I am totally loving the bunting and paper lanterns
But my oh my. If anyone bought me anything at all from this store I would be over the moon. Check out the other goodies.
It occurred to me as I was waiting for this last photo to upload that one could be forgiven for thinking that I was writing a paid review or advertorial - especially as I've done several of these recently on local businesses. Just to be clear, I don't get paid by anyone to talk about their shops, products or cafes on here. I simply love taking photos of beautiful things, especially anything in the modern vintage style and can't help myself. In part as a reminder to myself of where to go back to to find things, part gathering inspiration for colours, looks, things to make and part because it's relaxing to look at prettiness!
I find something I like and want to blog about and ask if I can take some photos, hand over my blog card and send the owner a link afterwards. I've only ever had one or two people say I can't take any photos because they've had people steal their designs (naughty naughty) but I have had a market seller say that they really appreciate being asked permission to take photos as it's a bit rude if someone comes up and takes heaps of photos, doesn't buy anything and then walks off. A bit how you going as the Aussies would say.
If you want to find this shop, it's called Nest Emporium and is located in Thirroul on their highstreet. Click on the name and you'll hop through to their website. Apparently the owner's sister owns a shop in Ulladulla called The Treehouse Connection which has had a few reviews from blogs - an organic cafe and vintage shop. Hmmm a holiday down that way might be in order.
As ever, feel free to pin or share on social media.
What did you get up to last weekend?

Thanks Lisa! I loved the baking dish too but it was tucked away, forgotten in a corner would you believe! I had to gingerly prise it out so I could get it in better light to take a photo of it!
